The show, in this case, was day two of the Business of Beauty Global Forum in Napa, California. On Tuesday, June 10, the Pattern Beauty founder took the stage alongside Imran Amed, founder and CEO of The Business of Fashion, for an “Inside the Industry” conversation, showing off her perfect “Deep” French manicure in the process.

Long and almond shaped, each of the 52-year-old’s fingernails featured a pinky neutral base coat and hefty white tip.
“The Deep French manicure is a nail design that makes your fingertips appear long and slender,” celebrity nail artist Britney Tokyo previously told Byrdie. “By deepening the smile line in the white part of the tip, the nail bed appears longer than usual.”

Ross’s take on the trend involved tips that started about halfway up her nail bed. The white polish was opaque, and the whole design was glossed up with an ultra-shiny top coat.
About the Trend
While Deep French designs have been a got-to in nail competitions for a long, long time, the style just started gaining mainstream traction in the last couple of years. While it works best on long nails, you can choose any shape your heart desires.

“The color of the nail bed should be one that hides the color of the nail tip,” Tokyo added. “For the French tip part, I recommend choosing a solid color rather than a sheer color.”
Done and done. Which brings me back to the Bieber nail competition thing.
It should be noted that both stars have the same go-to nail artist: the brilliant Zola Ganzorigt, who obviously knows her way around the style. She can do no wrong, and the pink nails Hailey wore for her own conversation were sweet, too! But wouldn’t you love to see her in some deep Frenchies?
