Coolr has partnered with Bupa to launch a significant campaign for Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month. This initiative supports Bupa’s brand platform, This Is Health, by redefining the meaning of health and wellness for the modern age and how it encompasses both mental and emotional well-being. The campaign aims to foster a culture where men feel comfortable discussing a range of issues, including those considered taboo, such as sexual dysfunction.
At the heart of the “Need a Lift” campaign is a six-part video series featuring actor and musician Martin Kemp, who engages in genuine conversations with men sharing personal stories in an intimate car setting. The series covers a range of topics from chronic illness to mental health and the emotional toll of caregiving.
The campaign brings together influential voices with unique perspectives on men’s health. Mr. Colitiscrohns, who has personally navigated chronic illness, speaks openly about how physical health issues can impact mental well-being, including sensitive topics like sexual dysfunction. Mark Ormrod OBE, a former Royal Marine, triple amputee, and father of three, discusses trauma and its effect on young people’s mental health and Graeme Sutherland, a carer for his mother with dementia, underscores the isolation of caregiving and the importance of mental health support for carers.
